Tonight is the last night in this magical place we now love like no other! Jim and Christina are taking us to a famous restaurant to watch Flamenco dancers and eat more of the amazing food this place has to offer... I myself have acquired a new love of bread, eaten traditionally in the morning which is 11:00 am till 2... It´c called ¨tostada con tomata" or toast with crushed tomatoes...doesn´t sound like much but it really is tasty. Lunch is the biggest meal around 2 and then we all take a nap, no kidding till 5. The stores the eateries and the whole town rolls up for 2 to 2-1/2 hours...this will be a hard habit to break when I get home. I am used to getting up around 5 am, and haven´t gotten up till 10 around here...of course we stay up till midnight playing cards and laughing and it all seems so civilized! By the way, no "coffee to go" around here, you must sit, you must talk and you must enjoy the moment...or you look like a tourist, which I regularly! :)
So Carrie and I have pretty much already planned our next trip here, yesterday we saw the Alhambra, located in Granada´... It is incredible to think that this structure has been here since the 1200´s. The Moorish architecture is stunning and the gardens, while I have seen a few, were truly breathtaking in this setting!
Next trip is to Seville and Barcelona....then a train to MMalagato see this wonderful people! We had a great time running around in the city of Granada yesterday...found a shopping plaza and actually found our way out too! This is not easy when all of the streets look the same and no one speaks Eenglish..no one! We managed to pantomime a soccer jersey/football request and some great looking guy pointed us in the right direction....by the way everyone here is beautiful, really! We found our needle in the haystack and off we were to get more goodies, the shopping was truly an adventure and wore us out!
This was the last beach day and we can say it was the best...this water is something out of a postcard and the bottom is clear ...even saw a halibut while snorkeling... just cool stuff all day every day. I am so lucky to have been invited and my friends are so gracious to share this place so openly...it will not be soon forgotten,
