NOTE:
Except for the first one, most of these are beauty and fashion question and answers.
If you have a question and don't see an answer, Email me at sherry@sherrygilderoy.com.
If it has been asked a few times, We'll include it. Q:
In your radio show and website - you mention a lot of brand names. Do you get
"kick backs" or profit in some way by promoting these guys? A:
Aside from occasionally
sending folks to Shopaholic and recommending
my own product line from time-to-time...No, I don't profit from mentioning products
or companies by name. Any "endorsement" is just about providing useful
advice. If something works or one boutique outshines another - I talk about it.
Q:
My eyebrows are disappearing! What can I do?
A: Brow powder. You can find it drugstores - I like Ardell Brow Defining Powder.
Q:
I'm breaking out (zits) even though I'm an adult - what can I do? A: I
always recommend the new line by Neutrogena called Rapid Clear and it has a daily
moisturizer, concealer and acne treatment all in one. Q:
I
Look frumpy. Why is it so hard for
me to find clothes that fit? A: Don't be so sure it's the clothes. I
see more problems with people wearing the wrong undergarments. Your shape will
never look right with an old bra... go get some new, properly sized undergarments.
If you are trying to cover-up "things", you can find some great products
through Spanx and SassyBax. Q:
I need
something not as drying as the powder mineral makeup. A:
I
love Physician's Formula for inexpensive "liquid" mineral makeup.
Also, Glow Minerals makes great liquid bases. Try Lisa Cobb at Luxury On Lovers
to get a true color matching appointment...You will be amazed at your skin
and how much softer and healthier it looks! Q:
I've
been tempted to try lotions (like BodyShape), do they work, what does work?
A:
One
word...SONA. Ionithermie and the follow up detox regimen. I have done this and
I love the results! Watch my video on this website to see the procedure. It makes
your feel like a million... Q:
Are hats in? A: CUTE
HATS ARE IN!!! Plus they are a great way to protect your face and skin from the
Texas sun. Lots of hats right now can be tossed into your suitcase without getting
damaged. There is a company called Physician's Endorsed... their hats give 100%
UVA protection. Q:
I'm tired of red bumps after shaving? A: Razor burn and irritation is
a problem for a lot of women. If you use disposable razors or razors with disposable
blades (which I like), make sure you dispose of them after a few uses! A sharp/clean
razor and Aveeno Ultra Calming Shave Gell are not only good for legs, they're
great for the bikini area too! Q:
I Haven't worn make-up for years, where do I start? A: It's time to get
a great make-up application lesson. I recommend tracking down an event at any
Lancome counter or heading to Merle Norman. Both do outstanding jobs of training
make-up application (without being trendy). Q:
Which products will help me smooth out my makeup? A: For foundation with
great coverage to smooth out your complexion use "photo finish" by SMASHBOX
and put UNDER your foundation. It is a very thin layer and fills in your skin
and makes it smooth. You can buy it at Ulta. Q:
To Tan or Not to Tan? A: It's important to protect your skin so be careful
out there. There are many great self-tanning products you have to see works best
for you. Self Tanner #1: Loreal Sublime Body Spray Self Tanner #2:
Neutrogena Sheer Tint Self Tanner #3: CVS Fine Mist Sunless Tanning Spray
Q:
I need help hiding that extra weight - what's the best way? A: Wear clothes
that "fit" - not baggy coverups. Spanx is a wonderful product that will
slim you down to aid the fit clothing (and make you look great). |
